Beleef Factorium! Op zondag 12 maart staat het volledige gebouw van Factorium in het teken van 'home/jouw thuis', een unieke kans om jezelf middels muziek, dans of theater onder te dompelen in een andere cultuur.

Van Surinaamse zang tot Afrikaanse percussie en van Griekse muziek tot een theaterworkshop van een masterstudente, alles beleef je op 12 maart bij Factorium. 

Tevens verkoopt de wereldkeuken van het Ronde Tafelhuis hapjes en drankjes tijdens de special. Zij delen zo hun culinaire liefde voor eten uit het land van herkomst met de deelnemers. De culturele dag wordt afgesloten met een informele presentatie van alle groepen, waarin iedereen de kans krijgt om meer te vertellen over hun 'thuis'. Schrijf je dus snel in!

Tijdens de Home Special kies jij welk spoor je gaat volgen. Elke spoor heeft zijn eigen kleur en programma. Lees hieronder welke sporen te kiezen zijn.

SPOOR ROOD (12+, ENGELSTALIG)
Workshop Internationaal Studentenorkest
Duur: 3 uur

Heb je altijd als eens in een symfonieorkest willen spelen of speel je al in een orkest? Heb je minstens 1 jaar op jouw instrument en kun je bladmuziek lezen? Schrijf je dan in voor deze workshop met het internationale studenten orkest Fortissimo onder leiding van de Griekse dirigente Katarina Sampakou. Deelnemers ontvangen voor aanvang de bladmuziek om eventueel thuis al te kunnen oefenen. Alle instrumenten uit een symfonieorkest zijn welkom!

SPOOR PAARS (14+)
Workshop Surinaamse Zang
Duur: 1,5 uur

Maak kennis en zing mee met Surinaamse liederen en klanken in de workshop van Surinaams Koor Pramisi. Dit multiculturele zangkoor met een mix van jong en oud heeft een breed repertoire met Surinaamse, Afrikaanse, Engels- en Nederlandstalige liederen. Tijdens de workshop ga je samen met het koor zingen. Noten lezen is geen vereiste om deel te nemen aan de workshop.

SPOOR GROEN (10+)
Workshop Afrikaanse Percussie
Duur: 1,5 uur

Peto Olu Cadmus is bekend in Tilburg als percussionist, zanger en songwriter. Zijn roots liggen in Nigeria. Met zijn band YamaYama betreedt hij podia in Nederland, België en Duitsland. Speciaal voor Factorium geeft hij tijdens de special een workshop Afrikaanse percussie. Heb je altijd als eens willen onderdompelen in de opzwepende ritmes van percussie? Dit is je kans!

SPOOR ROZE (16+, ENGELSTALIG)
Workshop 'Samen op zoek naar thuis, muziek en theater'
Duur: 1,5 uur

In samenwerking met de Griekse masterstudente van Fontys hogeschool voor de Kunsten Stella Voutoufianaki en theaterdocent Hilde van Uden ga je op de vloer aan de slag met materiaal dat jij zelf maakt rondom het thema ‘samen op zoek naar thuis’. Naast zang- en bewegingsoefeningen zullen tevens kennismakingsoefeningen aan bod komen om elkaar als groep te leren kennen. Vervolgens ga je in kleine groepjes aan de slag met jouw eigen materiaal in de vorm van zang, woord of beweging.

Experience Factory! On Sunday 12 March, the entire Factorium building will be dedicated to 'home/your home', a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a different culture through music, dance or theatre.

From Surinamese singing to African percussion and from Greek music to a theater workshop by a master's student, you will experience everything on March 12 at Factorium!

The cultural day ends with an informal presentation by all groups, in which everyone gets the chance to tell more about their 'home'. So sign up quickly!

TRACE RED (12+, ENGLISH)
Workshop International Student Orchestra
Duration: 3 hours

Have you always wanted to play in a symphony orchestra or do you already play in an orchestra? Do you have at least 1 year on your instrument and can you read sheet music? Then sign up for this workshop with the international student orchestra Fortissimo conducted by the Greek conductor Katarina Sampakou. Participants receive the sheet music before the start so that they can practice at home if necessary.

TRACK PURPLE (14+)
Workshop Surinamese Singing
Duration: 1.5 hours

Get to know and sing along with Surinamese songs and sounds in the workshop of Surinamese Koor Pramisi. This multicultural choir with a mix of young and old has a wide repertoire with Surinamese, African, English and Dutch songs. During the workshop you will sing together with the choir. Reading notes is not a requirement to participate in the workshop.

Workshop African Percussion
Duration: 1.5 hours

Peto Olu Cadmus is well known in Tilburg as a percussionist, singer and songwriter. His roots are in Nigeria. With his band YamaYama he takes to the stages in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Especially for Factorium, he will give a workshop on African percussion during the special. Have you always wanted to immerse yourself in the rousing rhythms of percussion? This is your chance!

TRAIL PINK (16+, ENGLISH)
Workshop 'Together in search of home, music and theatre'
Duration: 1.5 hours

In collaboration with the Greek master's student from Fontys University of the Arts Stella Voutoufianaki and theater teacher Hilde van Uden, you will work on the floor with material that you make yourself around the theme 'looking for home together'. In addition to singing and movement exercises, there will also be introductory exercises to get to know each other as a group. Then you will work in small groups with your own material in the form of song, word or movement.
